Show & Tell: "Sleeping Indian"

If it's Sunday, it's Mel's Show & Tell.

This is the view in springtime from our deck. If you click on the photo to enlarge, can you see the sleeping indian* head in the mountain ridge? The profile of his face is about a third of the way from the left.

This is the view YOU would have if you came over for a mojito.

* yes, I know this is not PC. Yes, I know the PC phrase would be, "sleeping indigenous person of the western hemisphere."

But yes, that is what the landmark is called. On maps and stuff.

And why, after a g*d-knows-how-many mentions, does my spellchecker still stumble over "mojito"?

Oooh! I'm proud of myself because I saw the face even before I enlarged the picture.

That is really gorgeous--the view.

Oh thank you for putting up a picture of some real mountains!

I'd know the Rockies anywhere! I grew up in Manitou Springs - not that far from there. It's been ages since I've seen some real mountains.

Thanks again for sharing!

Killing two birds with one stone on Mel's Show and Tell and NCLM.

Great view of the mountains. And yes, I can clearly see that indigenous person of the western hemisphere from my shivery spot in the Southern one.

Please pour me my mojito now.

what an amazing view to drink coffee to! I bet you get lots of snow in the winter and so can just drink Hot Chocolate instead!! ;-)

Love the picture! I envy your view... and you mojitos!

Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful view! And, for the record, if you had used the PC name, I wouldn't have know what you were talking about!

Ah...I'm hearing John Denver now. Looking forward to seeing this in person on day!

Ah, drooling with envy...I think I'll go for a cup of Earl Grey instead of a mojito, but would love to drink it with that view in sight...

Ya know, I've always wanted to go to Colorado for a mojito... and now, with that view and you being my pardner, I just may have to invite myself!

What a beautiful view! I lived in Alberta for 7 years and miss seeing real mountains. Thank you for posting such a great photo.

Oooooooh! I want a mountain view!!! Or at least a mojito. :)

I came, I enlarged, but I didn't see the indigenous person's profile. It's like those magic puzzle pictures...I can never see those either.

But, what a gorgeous view! Thanks for sharing!

I feel like I saw it right away. That can't be right. I never see anything that isn't beyond obvious (that is why those lame abstracts with actual images if you squint made me pull my hair out).

Oh, blog hopped. Hope you don't mind. I'd totally sit in your backyard with a Mojito any day . . .

I'll be right over!

Oh, that's cool. I found it! You must live close to the mountains! I'll duel you to a view from my street!

So so pretty.

About the jeans - I get them at the outlet - Saks 5th avenue - But I wait until a 40% or 50% off sale. They are something like $140ish a pair, so I like to get them slightly cheaper. But OMG - they are SO worth it.

Gorgeous view. I love to see the mountains too. I grew up on the east coast and live in MN now. No mountains here! Great pic.

I am so jealous that you have that gorgeous view to stand in awe of everyday. It reminds me of when we lived in Colorado and I had a daily front row view of Pike's Peak.

That is a gorgeous view! Who wouldn't love a view like that! Wow.
