My 8RFs:
- I have lived 8 time zones to the east of home (Syria) and 8 time zones to the west of home (Japan). Like those 8s.
- I proposed to Rob. At a Bronco game. On the DiamondVision scoreboard.
- I have never had a PBJ sandwich.
- I played the piccolo in high school.
- I would go to great lengths for a really good mojito.
- I was told by a ski instructor my first time out that I had "rubber knees." The nickname stuck (the comment was overheard by a member of the church group) and it took me two decades to get back on skis.
- When I was a Brownie, I won a baking contest for a recipe called, "Rickety Uncle."
- I can usually guess the time within about 5 minutes.

You really have never had a PBJ sandwich? WOW it is one of my faves. If you ever try it, grill it like a grilled cheese. THE BEST EVER!!!!
You should post your winner recipe. :) What does it make?
Deathly allergic.
I might grill one up for the kids, though. Sounds, ummmm, interesting.
Rickety Uncles (I found out it's plural) is a dessert. I googled and found this (no nuts!):
RICKETY UNCLES
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup of flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Blend well so that the mixture is crumbly not dry.. like pastry.
Press into pans or a cookie sheet with fork
Cook at 325° for approx. 10 min. watch edges carefully for burning
Cut into squares before it cools.
Checking out your meme now...
I was going to be all incredulous about the PBJ thing, but now I get it. I figured you were probably allergic, anyway.
I'm so impressed by your world travels. I'd like to live outside of my STATE at some time in my life.
If only I had shortening, I could go make some Rickety Uncles right now.
Nicknames are horrible to get rid of! My dad still calls me "bugger".
Oh.. alergic!! Duh. I was wowing about that, too.
The proposal is super awesome!!!
Sunny -- Grilled BP & J is the one of my favorites. My daughter and I eat it with Carnation Instant Breakfast as a treat. It is always fun running into people who "know" about it... Fun little secret to have!
Thanks for being my reviewer, it was interesting to see which post you chose. Love the blog.
I agree, one should always go great lengths for a good mojito.
