A child asked at bedtime, "Mommy why is there war? Why can't there be peace in the world?""Well, to have peace in the world, we need peace in our country.
"To have peace in our country, we must have peace in our city.
"To have peace in our city, we must have peace in our neighborhood.
"To have peace in our neighborhood we must have peace in our home.
"To have peace in our homes we must have peace in our hearts." *
So, my friends, family, readers and fellow bloggers (many of you occupying more than 1 of these categories), rather than world peace, I wish each of you peace within yourself.
And I wish the same for me.
*vignette paraphrased from a story told by my Teacher, Ethel.

Good one...I had received it in an e-mail forward!
TC!
Wishing you peace and a Merry Christmas!
When I was in Elementary School, for the grand finale to the Holiday Program every year, all the kids (all the classes combined) would settle on the bleachers on the stage and down into bleachers on the floor in front of the stage in the form of a huge Christmas Tree in the dark with our flashlights covered with colored tissue paper (for the different colored lights) and then we sang "Let Peace Begin With Me."
I don't think I'll ever forget that. Thank you for bringing a wonderful childhood memory to the forefront of my mind this holiday season! :)
That is my wish for you as well. Merry Christmas!
