What are you better at now than you were 2 years ago?

I am better at letting unimportant stuff go. Not holding onto anger, fear, anxiety. After being through some really truly hard times, things that used to have me up nights aren't even a blip on the radar now.

I'm much better at yoga (not only the poses, but the philosophy behind it); I'm more connected to my intuition, more fluent in my writing and blogging; I take more time with my kids, and I feel much more content and grateful in my life.

I'm better at taking things as they come. I still struggle but I'm definitely better.

Sleeping through the night! My girl is 3 and doesn't wake me up anymore.

Knitting. 2 years ago I didn't even know how :)

Letting household chores slide. Not that my house is a sty, mind you...I just have learned that it is OK if the dishes sit in the sink overnight once in a while...I used to be a neat freak. But I value time with my family more than a spotless house.

I am better at being emotional and not apologizing for it.

I sat with this open for a long time. I can think of a lot of places where I'm worse. Or the same. But I am really struggling with better.

How's that for high self-esteem!

Saying "no," I don't have time for that. And paying attention to small stuff too, because sometimes those are the most important.

Lollipop always gets better and better at caring for people because she always finds new ways to do it. She is also doing more smart thinking for getting political, as well as leading a flock of people that are at times amazing and at other times, can barely lift their head off the pillow to wipe the tears away. Which is no mean feat. She continually thinks of news ways of building connections and encouraging thoughtfulness.

I'm getting better at grieving and then getting back up again.

Just kidding.

I've *ALWAYS* been great at blowjobs.

Marriage. I've been married once before and Hubby and I have been married 2.5 years now. I'm doing much better this time around.

Ha! I had a baby 19 months ago. So I am both better and worse at everything.

OK Eden, you are very naughty, LOL.

I am better at being less black and white when it comes to my thinking.

I am better at being a human being than I was 2 years ago.

I am better at saying NO to people who I don't need to please. I am better at liking myself. I am better at taking care of myself. I am a little bit more patient (still working on that one). Two years ago was a sort-of dark spot for me. And the life I was living two years ago lead to this sort of epiphany, a breaking point, almost, where my life turned around pretty much overnight. Sure, putting things into action took a bit of time, but almost overnight I went from being X kind of person to being Y, and I still don't know exactly what the straw was that broke the camel's back. I just know that were it not for the life of 2 years ago, I wouldn't be the (I think) more fully realized human that I am now.

I am better at being in love.

Two years ago I was a single mom of five, pregnant with #6 and positive I was not going to be with someone until all my children grew up. I was done with the whole dating thing.

Then I met Dave.... It's been 14 months and I've never known how to be a good partner, how to truly love someone and be a good lover.

I'm there... after 36 years it all looks different now.
