Perfect Moment Monday: Manna

Perfect Moment Monday is more about noticing a perfect moment than about creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

We gather here once a week to engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Please visit the links of the participants at the bottom.

Here's a perfect moment from my week. I hope you'll share yours, too.
====================================
I had 15 hours filled with perfect moments.

Rob, my husband, was out of town over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon, Crystal (Tessa's birthmom and my close friend) invited Tessa and Reed for a sleepover -- their first ever with her. They all had a wonderful time, and Tessa benefited, as usual, from returning to the well.

In my solitude, I wrote, I read, I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies (but refrained from eating too much), I took a long bath, I brushed only my own teeth, I slept -- WELL. The only rhythm in the house was my own, for the first night in more than 8 years.

I reveled in my alone-ness. It was even more delicious than the cookie dough.

I decided to Tweet mine today. I was going to write about getting a new phone over the weekend, but that felt shallow.

Wow! I only have 7 more years to go!

Although I had a good week, I don't have a moment to report where I was truly in the moment.

How did you even know what to do with yourself?

That sounds like heaven to me -- alone time, chocolate chip cookies, a bath...and brushing your own teeth. You are absolutely spoiled...and you deserve every second of it!

Isn't it amazing how quickly time like that goes?

Sounds incredible. I just think that's awesome that Tessa and Reed spent the night with T's bmom.

My house feels so much bigger when I'm there alone. It's amazing. And I get to vacuum. Heaven.

I'm glad you had that time.
